by BLISSISIGNORANCE inover the period of time i have been posting on this forum i have noticed how differently we feel about the borg and dubs.
i guess our point of view is based on our own particular situation and experiences, our upbringing, our culture, our gender, our relationships etc.
but i think i can safely say that we all agree on one point, that the borg is a corrupt, greedy, hypocritical, dishonest, controlling, unloving, brain-washing cult!

bliss i agree with you completely, i have debated 1000' of jw's,many for months or years. as soon a i get to the point of shutting them down. they run, hide or do what ever it takes to get away, from the facts they asked me to look up. they are truely a sick lot. i have no resepect for next to any of them. if i met 10 reasonable jw's over the years, that would be a mircle. although i think i have planted many seeds that may have, or will grow one day. bliss you have no reason to forgive these fools that hurt you or your family. spitting on them is to good for them. your a strong lady!!!!!!! john

Do You Think That Brooklyn Is Concerned About Apostafests?
by Englishman inlooking through some of the society's earlier wt's, it does seems as though they tend to see apostates as lonely and isolated people.
i can only find one reference to organised apostates in the wt.. so i wonder how they feel about the recent plethora of fests that are taking place?.
it's certainly having a nullifying effect on the enforced isolation that they like to see resulting from disfellowshipping.

elsewere; has a good and simple idea. put together a small tract about wty lies and maybe a no jw sticker for the door.. and send them to churches or in the weekly flyers or a coupon package. i would thing , something shortr and simple could be put together for about $.25 cents each. BRCI sents out a nice little mailer. i have them sent to my jw dad john

IMPORTANT IDEA! Petition the Society and embaress them for their hubris

(beginner's luck).. what if we all (and i mean every last one of us; big numbers of people) wrote a scathing and precise petition or letter of protest (as an open letter) to the governing body of jehovah's witnesses and released it to the press on a slow news day with lots of fanfare?.
we would "call out" the rascals in no uncertain terms citing our grievances (like the founding fathers to george iii) and enumerating our personal suffering under the policies we want changed.. the list would include setting themselves up as little dictators speaking in god's name and issuing papal decrees upon penalty of excommunication.. we could demand apologies for stealing the future of children born to jw families who lose the happiness of childhood through worthless pharisaic adherence to blind rules such as no birthdays, christmas, easter, holidays in general, etc.

i agree terry and sng. ; i'm not much of a writer, but can handle most any jw in a conversation. this is a great idea. sf in this board is good at some of these things. for my part i will sign or distribute anything i can agree with . this is a very workable idea, behind a non-for profit org. or some christians group that takes on the wt ie brci, macgregor ministeries slilentlambs etc. i'mv sure it could happen if we all great into it. john

Honest mistakes? The Governing Body's excuses for their actions
by Terry inthe governing body tells us they are not false prophets because they admit their mistakes.. they only err because they are zealous to see the new order commence.. they are on the watch and warning everybody just like they are supposed to.. their doctrines change (new light) because they see and admit their errors.. what more can we expect of them?.
is the governing body honestly doing the best they can?
they are only human; how can we expect them to be perfect?.

sng; i thing professor iko. the earthquake scientest, had a little bout with the wt. on they mis quoting him . at least in letters. . there is some info on this and other people going again the wt going back to the early 1900's russell lost a case @ 1910 from some pastor that wrote a booklet. calling the wt a false prophet. russell was sueing for $100,000. russell was made to look like a fool in court . when he sware he could read and write greek. the next day in court he couldn't even idenitify the greek alphabet. john

WT RESOLUTIONS what becomes of them??
by JT ini got an email the other day from an long time jw, in fact he was 13 at the 1958 convention in ny and polo grounds .
we were talking about the org and he posed the question to me as well- i thought about it and i could not think of anything-.
i have never heard -other than the name adoption resolution- any mention of any resolutions that we as jw adopted like in 1979, 1983 , etc.

CNN , Headline News , and 1914 , hhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmm !!!!!!!!!!

now think about this, how many veterans do you think attended from world war one ???????.
the one veteran who layed down a wreath, was 108, and he talked a little, the best he could, and thanking his fellow war heroes.. this piece really hit home with me, because, didn't the watchtower once say, the generation of 1914 will not pass away, remember the early teaching, "they would have to be able to understand the things going on", "first started with 15 years olds, then ten year old, then can't be babies born, then can be babies born.

xq's; tanks, chemical warfare, etc have been used for 1000's of years, ever heard of the sheild,the tortoise,trojan horse, armor etc. nothing new just up dated every war, ever heard of the ten plagues of egypt. water , air, desease, etc all a type of chemical warfare, poisioning water supplies, smoking people out. poison food supplies. ,making people get sick from their own waste. all these warfare tactics have been used ever since war started. the aeroplane mostly did spy work in ww1 and had no defining effect on the war. 100 years earlier they were using balloons for much the same purpose. aerial warfare started with the spear or sling shot. and grew from there . again nothing new here. you may want to go back to the horse or the cannon . to see how and were war really changed in history. john

xq's ; ww1 was bloodly but far from one of the worst till that time. a little google search on wars will show that with ease. there were 100's of wars in history ,were many more were killed than in ww1 the wt gives the idea to unknowledgable persons that ww1 was some kind of land mark war. the truth is far from it. john
